See a Different Side of Taronga Zoo

Taronga has recently opened an exciting new boardwalk putting visitors eye to eye with the Himalayan mountain goats while providing spectacular views of Sydney Harbour.

This once hidden corner of the zoo has been fully transformed to create a seamless journey stretching between the African Safari and Carnivore Trail incorporating many stunning view points along the way. The boardwalk, accessible by both stairs and ramps also provides a unique 360 degree view of the Himalayan mountain goats that once had this prime position all to themselves.

Why not spend the night? Camp in safari tents in the heart of Australia's most famous zoo, and wake to spectacular views of the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.

Roar & Snore is a fully hosted experience that includes architecturally designed tents, a sumptuous roast feast, drinks in the main tent and up-close animal encounters. It offers a unique opportunity to stay in the campsite with views of Sydney Harbour on one side and Lions, Snow Leopards and Meerkats on the other.
