Sydney has many major national and international conventions and exhibits taking place annually and as special events, Sydney has excellent convention and exhibition venues and hotels to accommodation large events, two major event venues are the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre (SCEC) and the Sydney Exhibition Centre on Glebe Island.

The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre is now closed to make way for a major redevelopment of the venue, due for completion in late 2016.
Sydney’s Darling Harbour is undergoing a major urban transformation and will become the home of a new state-of-the-art fully integrated convention, exhibition and entertainment precinct.
