For three weeks each January the Sydney Festival offers a rich program of over 80 events involving upwards of 500 local, interstate and international artists covering dance, theatre, music, visual arts, cross media and forums. This year, events are being held throughout Sydney making use of the many theatres and performing arts venues across the city including Sydney Theatre, Carriage Works, the Seymour Centre, Sydney City Recital Hall and venues at the Sydney Opera House. Purpose built facilities such as the “Round house theatre” have also been erected in Hyde Park especially for this event.
