Ansel Adams – Photography from the Mountains to the Sea

Experience the wild majesty of the American continent, as captured by the iconic photographer Ansel Adams.

Featuring more than 70 original prints of extraordinary detail, this exhibition explores water in all its forms – from epic seascapes and raging rivers to crashing waterfalls.

The museum brings the work of this brilliant pioneering modernist to Australian audiences, combining famous images with extraordinary lesser-known works that provide a fresh perspective on a celebrated artist.

This is a must-see exhibition for lovers of photography.

Organised by the Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, Massachusetts. Support for the exhibition was provided by David H Arrington, and the Center for Creative Photography, University of Arizona. Presented with the assistance of the USA Bicentennial Gift Fund.
